We’re always looking for new data analysts. If you’re familiar with the inner-workings of some of our more typical modelling techniques, then there’s a good chance you’ll be right for the BTD team. We use Stata to process our data, so experience using Stata is a bonus.
Some of the analytical tools we use, include:
- Gap Analysis
- Conjoint Analysis
- Regression Analysis
- Factor Analysis
- Other Types of Multivariate Analysis
As a Research Intern it will be your responsibility to provide support to our in-house economists & analysts, reporting directly to the Head of Research.
Confidence, stamina and self-belief are a must, as the work involves speaking to a wide variety of people, both in person for site visits & over the phone. Site visits on occasion will be carried out incognito, so be sure to bring your trench coat!
The Internship will be a paid placement, which can be used against any mandatory internship required by your University, if you’re in fact a current undergraduate within the GCC. Being a student is not a must, but being young, bold and ambitious is. Email us to find out exactly what we will pay for the 8 to 12-week paid internship.
Research Interns may be assigned to work in one or more of the following areas of research & analysis:
- Collecting data for bridge the data’s Iran & Egypt reports. Data collected will be data on the cost of living in each of the respective reports, which includes data pertaining to accommodation, healthcare, education, business set-up, travel costs and more.
- Collecting and following up with survey responses.
- Calculating means, medians, modes, standard deviations and other wonderful stuff, is all part of the job. So bring your calculator and come with a good grasp of arithmetic. The formula to success is to understand the formulae behind it!
