I hope 2016 has been a good year for all of our customers and Economics Blog readers. Now that our partnership with GulfTalent is in full flow, we have some exciting enhancements to announce, listed below. Firstly though, our 2017 reports are now on pre-order, and will be released from the end of September onward. As long as you order before September 25th, you’ll be entitled to AED 500 off with our usual Early Bird promotion. As this is our first post pertaining to our forthcoming annual reports, we’ve taken the opportunity to summarise the exciting changes and additions to this years reports.
Salary Reports by Industry, with GulfTalent
For the past 2 years, our most common request has been for industry-specific salary data – so this is exactly what we’re now publishing. Bridge The Data and GulfTalent’s clients will be given the opportunity to complete our salary survey, and in return, any participating client will obtain salary-averaged data, pooled only from their industry. The data will reflect the survey responses from the huge employer network of Bridge The Data and GulfTalent. We will also be providing AED 1,000 off of the cost of the new salary reports, in exchange for participation. Just be sure to retain the code which is presented to you once you’ve completed the survey. This code can be used for purchasing online, or emailed to us when placing your order and paying by bank transfer or cheque.
Custom Benchmarking – View Your Salaries Vs Your Competitors
A very exciting feature of the above salary reports, is that if you complete the salary survey, not only will you be given AED 1,000 off of the report cost, your inputted data will also be benchmarked against the average of the pooled data from your industry – effectively, providing custom salary benchmarking, without the custom pricing (see examples Fig 1 & Fig 2 attached). Our Stata software platform allows us to generate reports automatically, based on your survey inputs. If you do not complete the survey, we won’t be able to benchmark you against the industry average, or provide the survey completion discount, but you will still be able to buy the report and get an intuition for salary offerings in your sector.

Cost of Living Reports Executive Summary
Our report will no longer be 200+ pages of written text with countless tables & charts…. Instead, to facilitate ease of reading and analysis, we will have an executive summary of the market changes (around 30 pages), which will feature our usual written commentary and chart summaries. The more granular level data (all charts & tables) will be provided separately. This essentially means that Directors/ C-Level stakeholders will have the high-level information required for decision making readily available. Equally, HR & Finance experts will have the finest level of detail to analyse and/ or input into their internal systems for benchmarking & benefits analysis. Our actual cost of living data will remain the same as always – with only minor enhancements to encompass new neighbourhoods and educational institutions.
We realise how important it is for companies to be as cost-effective as possible, so we have maintained the same pricing we have had for 10 years and divided up our offering. You can now purchase the autonomous industry salary reports, if you’re only interested in salary data, for a lot less than the full country cost of living reports.
